Frequently Asked Questions

How do I customize my ring?

We are working on our “Build your own ring” section, however, if you have an idea for your own custom ring, head over to the “Contact” section of the website and shoot us an email with your ideas and any additional questions you may have. We’ll respond as soon as we can and get the process of making your own custom ring started.

How do I keep my ring looking clean and polished?

Every ring we sell comes with a polishing cloth that can be used to remove any residue. Our finishing process consists of wet-sanding the band with very high grits of sandpaper, then polishing with a 12-step polish process. If you notice the finish becoming dull or scratched and the polish cloth isn’t meeting your expectations, you can reach out to us, and we will work out a time to have your ring shipped back to us and re-polished no additional charge.

Are the rings waterproof?

The short answer: Our rings are water resistant. The metal bands hold up well in water, but we do not recommend spending extended periods of time in the ocean or swimming pools, because that can reduce the quality of the finish. We highly recommend removing any wood rings prior to working out or doing any activity that involves water. The finish we put on the wood rings improves the durability and helps protect against liquid better than if it were bare wood, but it’s never going to be 100% waterproof.

What is the return/replacement policy?

Prior to ordering any ring from us, we highly recommend getting sized by a professional to ensure everything will fit perfectly. If for some reason the size you request ends up being too small or too large, we will work to get you a replacement band at the right size for a small restocking fee.

Can you REALLY inlay anything into a ring channel?

In the years since Legier’s Workshop started, we have had requests to inlay everything from wood from the deck of the USS Missouri, Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, Wembley Stadium, sand from Iwo Jima Beach, Omaha Beach, Israel, Afghanistan and Iraq, cremation ashes, horse mane hair, opal, gemstones, crystals, dinosaur bone, lava rock, mammoth ivory, shark teeth and even Meteorite into ring channels. If it can be crushed or sanded down small enough to fit the channel, it can be made into a ring. So don’t be afraid to reach out and ask us any and all crazy questions when it comes to your unique ring design.
