The newest addition to the Legier's Workshop store: The Cheatham County Central High School ring. If you're a college basketball fanatic, you might recognize this as the high school Legendary Tennessee Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt attended and played basketball.
A little bit of back story on this piece: I was asked to participate in a fundraiser event for the school, they wanted me to bring in a few of my Tennessee themed Stadium Series rings to display. I heard that the school had recently renovated their football stadium and asked if they had any material left over, I wanted to show them that the Stadium Series wasn't just about telling the stories of Professional and College stadiums, there are moments in time in stadiums all around the world that people are connected to and have their own stories to tell.
The school's colors are maroon, black and white. I knew immediately I wanted to use a red ceramic band for this (if they ever create a maroon ceramic band, I will update the design to feature that band). They supplied me with granite from the renovations, some of which still had the spots of red and black paint, if you look closely at the ring you can see little spots of red dotted throughout. The school decided on the engraving "Once a Cub, Always a Cub", which will be the default engraving for any orders placed. If you would like a different engraving, please add it to the personalization notes.
